A Church that Loves People

A Church People Love

“…Love the Lord your God with al your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like it: “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” - Matthew 22:37-39

Our Values

  • (Col. 1:18) We are committed to Jesus as the LORD and Head of our church

  • We are committed to bringing authentic worship to our LORD JESUS This worship is…

    • God centered. Christ centered (Co.8:6) God alone is to be worshiped. He has centered all that He is and all He has done in Jesus, who is Mediator High Priest, King, Judge, and Lord!

    • Truth filled (John 14:6), Jesus came to teach us how to live. The greatest form of worship is our loving and devoted obedience. Our worship is only authentic when we follow HIM!

    • Spirit led (John 4:24; Phil 3:3) Authentic worship can only happen under the direction and presence of God the Holy Spirit. We seek His presence and leading in order to please Him.

    • Soul felt (Luke 10:27) Passion for Jesus is a crucial and necessary element of authentic worship

    • Biblically expressed (Psalms) There is a correct ‘way’ to worship the Lord and these practical, faith filled motives/behaviors of corporate and private worship are outlined in the Bible.

  • Luke 11:1; Acts 4:23-24, 1 Thess. 5:17. We are committed to corporate and private prayer. We are committed to seek His will, help, and intervention in our lives, community, and our church; knowing that prayer brings HIS intervening presence into the challenges and difficulties all must face.

  • (Eph 3:14-15, 5:22,25, 6:1-4). The Bible reveals that God has chosen the family to be His building block for healthy churches and societies. This value includes:

    1. Marriage - God sanctified marriage between one man and one woman, therefore, we are committed to Biblical healthy marriages and families.

    2.  We are heavily invested in equipping the children of our church for a life devoted to Christ. We snow that these children are our future hope in the forward move of the Kingdom of God

    3. We are committed to the inclusion, healing, recovery, and reception of all divorced people

    4.  We also see all believers, whether married, divorced, or single as an integral part of the family of God! All have a God chosen place in the Body and a crucial role to fill in God's plan

  • (Math 28:18-20). We are committed to welcoming all to the life of our church, to those who do not yet know the Lord that they may discover Christ, Who is our life, and to those already know HIM that they may be strengthened in their Christian lives. We consider ourselves to be a hospital, providing help and healing for the hurting .

    1. We encourage every believer to become a disciple-maker, helping others to know Christ.

    2. We encourage every believer to ‘tell their story’ of their conversion to Chris (to testify)

    3. We encourage every believer to view their workplace, neighborhood, and family as sacred and as their unique calling (sent by God) to bring the Lord's salvation to all they know and meet

    4. We are committed to help every believer discover their individual calling (God's personal assignment) and aid them in accomplishing it

    5. We encourage every believer to practice the highest moral character (holiness), establishing credibility in their life, testimony, and ministry!

    6. We are committed to preach and teach the Word of God and encourage every person among us to seek and trust in the ‘Spirit filled’ life, God's abiding Presence (John 7:37-39)

  • (John 17:20-21). We are committed to doing all we can to maintain (value, practice, and protect) (Eph. 4:3) the unity of the Spirit, knowing that this unity is centered in Jesus. We believe that loving one another is the central way our Gospel testimony will be credible to the world.

  • (2 Cor. 8&9) We are committed to Godly stewardship. We see Biblical stewardship as beginning with 'storehouse' tithing (Mal. 3:8-10); and being fulfilled in giving our all to Christ (Luke 21:1-4), generously caring for others (Heb. 13:16), and practicing the appropriate care of all that God has given us as individuals or as a church (2 Cor. 8:16-23).

Tenets of Faith

  1. We believe in GOD, maker of all things (Gen. 1:1) and being in Trinity of Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (Gen. 1:26; Matt. 3:13-17; John. 1:33-34, Rev. 1:4-5)

  2. We believe that the Son of GOD, JESUS CHRIST, became incarnate, was (Luke 1:26-38) begotten by the Holy Spirit, born of a virgin and is true GOD (Heb.1:8) and true man (Luke 19:10)

  3. We believe God's written Word in its entirety to be the inspired Word of God and the only infallible rule of faith and conduct (2 Tim. 3:16)

  4. We believe in the resurrection of the dead, the eternal life of the saved, and the eternal punishment of the lost (2 Pet.3:7)

  5. We believe in the personal salvation of believers through the shed blood of JESUS CHRIST (1 John 1:7; 1 Tim. 1:15; John 3:16)

  6. We believe that there is one baptism (Eph. 4:4-6) with various levels of expressions such as

    1. We believe in water baptism by immersion for the believer (Matt. 28:18-20; Acts 8:36-37)

    2. The Holy Spirit baptism happening at one's new birth or regeneration (John 7:37-39; Rom. 5:5, 8:9-11 & 15-16; 1 Cor. 3:16, 6:17-20; 2 Cor. 1:21-22; Gal. 3:1-5 & 13-14, 4:6; Eph. 1:13, 4:4; Titus 3.5; 1 John 3:24), changing one's inner nature from sinner to saint and transferring them from the Kingdom of darkness into the Kingdom of God's Son.

    3. Subsequent fillings and miracles are imparted to and through believers as the Lord wills (Acts 4:29-33), and that the ‘Spirit filled life’ is not an option but a necessary provision and available to any Christian believer (John 7:37-39)

    4. We believe this ‘Spirit filled life’ to be a supernatural interaction of the Holy Spirit in and through believers - manifesting in

      1. Holiness of life (Gal. 5:19-23)

      2. The power to witness (Acts 2:4-8)

      3. Spiritual gifts listed (1 Cor. 12:8-11 & Rom.12:6-8)

  7. We believe in the Christian's hope - the imminent personal return of our LORD JESUS CHRIST (Matt. 24:3,42,44, 25:1-13)

  8. We believe in storehouse (Mal. 3:8-12) tithing. Tithing is the ‘minimum’ (Matt. 23:23) for Christian believers who give their best and their all because they love God rather than giving begrudgingly because we are commanded by God (2 Cor 8:9 & 9:7)

  9. We believe in the unity (oneness) of all Christians that Jesus prayed and died for (John 17:20-22) whether in the universal or the local church (that Body of believers committed to each other in one local)

  10. We believe that marriage is a sacred covenant between one man and one woman.

All sexual activity outside of marriage is sin (Gen. 2:24; Matt. 19:4-5; Rom. 1:24-27)
